uMoya Hour - Let's speak about Ancestors

hands & ancestors.jpg

This is part of John's regular uMoya Hour livestreams appearing on FB & YouTube.

Time: Saturday 17th 1pm EST (New York), 6pm UK (London), 7pm South Africa (Cape Town)

Today John will be speaking about Ancestors. Who are they in the Southern African tradition. What role do they play in life? John will also mention the importance of people remembering their ancestors.

In Southern African traditional healing there are many words to denote ancestors. A powerful word is 'amathambo' meaning bones. Our future and past is connected to our Bones, the home of our DNA. As we connect to our bones in a mindful way we connect to our own unique nature.

This livestream will feature live sangoma trance drumming.
